2026 Junior High Summer Camp at Hume SoCal
Hume SoCal Overview
Hume SoCal is located in the San Bernardino mountains and is an amazing week of fun and spiritual growth through worship, teaching, recreational activities, and cabin discussions. This summer we will explore God working through the life of David! As we dive into the Psalms of David while also following the narrative of his life, we gain insight into both the internal and external world of the believer. As believers, God is forming us into the image of Christ for His glory and our transformation.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
Who can go?
Summer camp is for Hillside students entering 6th-8th grade in the fall of 2026. Students are welcome to invite friends who don’t have their own home church to join us.
When should I sign up?
Please register as soon as possible because space is limited. A waitlist will be started when spots are full. Spots are not directly transferable to other students.
Hume Registration (second step)
After this form is filled out (within 1-3 business days), an email and registration code will be sent to the email address you provide us. Use that to complete the registration process with Hume Lake Christian Camps. IMPORTANT: Registration is not complete until the Hume Lake registration is completed and accepted by Hume.
Transportation and Safety
Students are bused from Hillside to camp and back (school-type buses). There is a doctor/nurse on-site to administer medications and handle minor injuries. 9-1-1 is used for major concerns and is close to the camp facility.
Supervision and Housing
Students will be in dorm-style cabins with our background-checked volunteers at a ratio of about 1:9. Guys and girls cabins are on separate sides of camp and students are not allowed to go in cabins of the opposite gender. Beds are provided, but students must bring a sleeping bag and pillow.
Meals and Spending Money
All meals are provided once students arrive at camp. Special diets, such as gluten-free, can be selected in the registration process (additional fee). Snacks and merchandise are available at camp for purchase.
Phones & Electronic Devices
We are "screen-free" during our week of camp - hooray! Students can leave phones at home or turn in phones at check in and will be given back on the last morning of camp. Cell phone service is very spotty at Hume SoCal so you will not be able to contact your student directly. In case of emergency, you can call the Welcome Center at Hume SoCal at (909) 867-4444. If it's a non-emergency and you need to reach our team, you can email us at jhm@hillsidechurches.com and we will see it when we are connected to wifi. Students are welcome and encouraged to bring digital cameras to camp since they will not have their phones. Our counselors will also have their phones to take photos of students throughout the week.
If you have any additional questions regarding camp, please email jhm@hillsidechurches.com and someone from our team will get back to you as soon as we can.
