For all information regarding HSM Student Leadership, please visit hillsidechurches.com/student-leadership

This application is for high school students grades 9th-12th grade who want to serve and be developed as a leader through our High School Ministry at Hillside. Please note that our team has a limited amount of serve roles and filling out an application does not guarantee that you will be a part of the team.

Students can apply to be a part of the ’25-’26 HSM Student Leadership team from March 30-April 10. Interviews will be held on April 12 and 13.

Important dates:

Students applying to be a part of HSM Student Leadership should…
  • Desire to be developed as a leader and intentionally discipled and challenged in their walk with Jesus
  • Have a heart to serve their fellow HSM students and community
  • Love to have FUN and want to help make HSM a place students want to be
  • Call Hillside their home church and have a growing relationship with Jesus
  • Be able to commit to being at HSM Sunday Night gatherings weekly, coming early to group each Sunday at 5pm for SL meetings (4pm over the summer)
  • Be able to commit to other SL activities including team bonding events, training days, retreat, etc.
  • Be able to commit to completing assigned readings, SL assignments, scripture memorization, etc.
  • Have permission from their parent/guardian to participate in HSM Student Leadership (including parent/guardians commitment to provide transportation to SL meetings and activities)

There is a limited number of spots on our HSM Student Leadership team so those interested should consider if they can commit to being a part of it before applying. If you are involved in a lot of extracurricular activities, sports, AP classes, etc., you will have to work to make Student Leadership a priority - but if you do, we promise it will be worth it!

1 Timothy 4:8 says...”For physical training is of some value, but godliness has value for all things, holding promise for both the present life and the life to come.”

HSM Student Leadership is an opportunity for you to make training for godliness an important part of your life. If you are selected to be a part of the team, we pray that you will find it to be a shaping experience for you as a Christ-follower that you will carry with you long after you’ve graduated out of HSM.

What's next? After applying, you will receive a confirmation email that your application has been received, with a link to schedule your interview on April 12-13. Please schedule your interview as soon as possible - time slots will fill up quickly.

We can’t wait to receive your application and hear more about why YOU want to be a part of the HSM Student Leadership Team!

Please list one that you actually check. If you don't have one that you check, now is a great time to start!

Please include when you made a decision to follow Christ and how you connect with God throughout the week.

If you select "other", please explain.

Please respond in a paragraph or more to the following questions.

For more information on the 3 S's of Hillside Student Leadership, please check out our info packet at hillsidechurches.com/student-leadership.

There's not a wrong answer - help us get to know you!

Please answer honestly - student leadership is all about growing together!

Think about what you would look back at after your year in HSM and hope that accomplished or learned. What would feel like a "win" to you?

If you are not able to make these weekly meetings, please know that HSM Student Leadership might not be for you in this season.

These roles are not final, but are possible roles a Student Leader might serve in. These roles do not include worship/production team. If you are already on the worship/production team, please select a role you'd like to serve in when you're not scheduled for worship/production. HSM Serve Roles will be finalized after a team is selected. As one team, we will all help with a variety of things as student leaders, not JUST your specific role.

Teams: Check In, New Student, Environment
